Home to one of the world’s most famously diverse celebrations of cinema, our city transforms into a uniquely Canadian version of Hollywood every September. The Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) has been uniting North America by means of our favorite visual art since 1976, showcasing over 300 films from more than 60 countries every year. This year’s 18+ screening venues vary from historic theatres and museums, to hotels and galleries, some as close as one block away from your luxury suite at Intercontinental Toronto Yorkville.

See & Be Seen on Festival Street

September 10-13th

King Street

(Between Peter & University)

Completely closed to cars, Festival Street is the hub of all things TIFF, with frequent celebrity appearances, live music, and the city’s best food trucks. As the streets turn to red carpets, be sure to keep your eyes and ears tuned to find out where things are really happening – after-parties, social hours, press events. These sort of things pop up all the time when you talk to the right people, so be sure to engage everyone you. As for who to expect to see, here are a few celebrities with RSVPs:

Jake Gyllenhaal

Naomi Watts

Matt Damon

Christopher Walken

Harvey Keitel
