Celebrate A Scary-Fun Halloween in Toronto - Events & Parties Galore!

Grown-Up Ways to Celebrate Halloween in Toronto

Families love how citywide retailers and homes warmly open their doors to little trick-or-treaters. In fact, Toronto Halloween spirit is second to none, especially catering to kids ages 19 and older once the sun goes down. Whether dancing the night away aboard a Ghost Ship, at a Zombie Prom, or FREE street party, the city comes alive with the walking dead every October 31st. To help you plan your itinerary, here are a few of the city’s most frightfully fun happenings:

Monsters Ball

October 31st, 9 pm

770 Don Mills Road

The year’s largest Halloween event is hosted at the Ontario Science Center, with three distinct rooms playing top 40, hip-hop, and Latin tunes to get your groove on. Over 3,000 costumed revelers are expected to attend.

Ghost Ship

October 31st, 10 pm

11 Polson Street

This late-night cruise on Lake Ontario sells out annually, so be sure to get your tickets in advance. Your haunted ride for the night is the Empress of Canada, with live DJs on three levels, hors d’oeuvres and food included.

Halloween on Church

October 31st, 6-11 pm

Church & Wellesley Streets

Quickly climbing the ranks to be the biggest of it’s kind on the continent, there’s no telling where neighborhood bars, restaurants and LGBT hotspots begin and end during this rousing outdoor party along three city blocks.

Psycho with a Live Orchestra

October 31st, 7:30 pm

1601 Lake Shore Blvd W

Quieter and more laid-back than the aforementioned parties in some ways, one of the scariest films of all time is rendered all the more terrifying with an orchestra slashing away at its infamous soundtrack.
