Inspired by the works of the legendary Bernard Shaw, the Shaw Festival is a prestigious theatre company that produces Shaw era and contemporary plays that reveal the playwright’s provocative celebration of society and the human spirit. Located in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Shaw Festival presents exciting plays of Bernard Shaw and Shavian playwrights in four distinctive theatres, including the Festival Theatre – The Shaw’s flagship theatre where drama fans can enjoy large-scale productions. You can also see Shaw Festival performances at the historic Court House Theatre, a national historic site and where The Shaw first began performing, the Royal George Theatre, fashioned after an Edwardian opera house, and the Studio Theatre, the intimate 175-seat home of the contemporary Shavians.
