Don’t miss the official launch of the 47th annual Caribana Toronto Festival on Thursday, July 9th at Nathan Phillips square from noon-2pm. Considered the first of many thrilling events during this year’s festival, the 2013 kickoff will be featuring many exciting things to do with the family and kids. Lasting through August 4th, this city wide, fun filled festival will absorb the city of Toronto with its upbeat and infectious good vibes.
The Toronto Caribbean Carnival is a three week celebration of Caribbean traditions and culture held every summer in the heart of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Over a million visitors attend the annual event that features live music, mouthwatering Caribbean food, colorful art displays and live shows that highlight the Caribbean lifestyle.
Currently North America’s largest international event, the Caribana Toronto Festival anticipates over a million visitors from around the globe will attend the signature parade event to be held Saturday, August 4th at 10am at Exhibition Place & Lakeshore Boulevard. More than 10,000 marchers, floats and rides will participants while strutting in the streets wearing extravagant costumes and dancing to Caribbean beats.
It wouldn’t be a true Caribbean experience if you didn’t partake in a few parties. This year, more than 30 night time events will take place. Order a cocktail and dance the night away at exclusive club events, take a sunset Festival Boat Cruise or head to the streets for one of the many thumping street parties.
