A Rousing Toronto Festival of Street Performers & Yonge Street Buskers

The Most Entertaining Toronto Festival of the Year!

What:

Scotiabank Buskerfest

Where:

Downtown Yonge Street

When:

August 27-30th

Admission:

By Donation

Over 170 of the world’s best buskers, also known as street performers, take to Downtown Yonge Street for four days and four nights of all-out entertainment during Scotiabank Buskerfest, August 27-30th. “The Longest Street in the World” is always home to some of the city’s best buskers, but never as many as during the wildest festival in Toronto all year.

Street Circus, Live Music, Magic, & More!

If you’ve ever seen it done, chances are you’ll see it at Buskerfest. With no set schedule and upwards of 200 performers in attendance, you never know what’s going to pop up where, from circle shows and side stages, to music and roaming acts. Expect the unexpected, as possibilities include:

  • Fire Jugglers
  • Acrobats
  • Mimes
  • Clowns
  • Comedians
  • Puppeteers
  • Musicians
  • Magicians
  • Daredevils
  • Contortionists
  • Ventriloquists
  • Sword Swallowers
  • Costumed Characters
  • Family Fun Zone Acts

Epilepsy Benefit Stage

Yonge-Dundas Square

All Buskerfest admission donations go to Epilepsy Toronto, as do all donations for performances at the Benefit Stage. Every performer will entertain the crowd here at least once, with two group shows scheduled as well:

  • Friday Night Fire Show – August 28th, 9:30pm
  • Sunday Grand Finale & Metro People’s Choice Award – August 30th, 7pm

What to Bring

CASH! Buskers survive on tips, so bring enough cash to show your appreciation for their craft. You might also want to consider something to sit on, as most performances take place in the street. Most of all, bring a happy face and get ready for the time of your life at North America’s Largest Street Performer Festival, just a short walk from our hotel!
