InterContinental & Agraria Product Partnership

InterContinetal Hotels & Resorts and Agrariaand Agraria, the oldest and largest luxury home fragrance company in America, have announced plans for an exclusive partnership. Beginning at the end of January, 2013, guests will be able to experience for themselves Agraria bath amenities at all 169 InterContinental Hotels around the world, including the InterContinental Toronto Yorkville. The two global giants are no strangers to each other. In the 1970s, Agraria opened its first boutique in San Francisco’s exclusive Nob Hill neighborhood near the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco, which was also InterContinental’s first hotel location in North America. For over four decades, Agraria products have been a favorite with everyone from top fashion designers to magazine beauty editors to celebrities. In addition to InterContinental Hotels, they can be found in a myriad of high-end retails, such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, and Harrods.

This partnership is also a match made in ecology heaven. Agraria’s green credentials mesh perfectly with InterContinental’s strategy to minimize its carbon footprint. For example, Agraria’s shampoos and body lotions are created only from natural ingredients. Plus, all of its packaging is comprised of recycled paper and is 100% biodegradable. Participants in the Clean the World recycling program, InterContinental Hotels in both the United States and Canada are dedicated to repurposing partially-used soaps and bottled amenities from hotel guestrooms. From there, they distribute the products to communities with limited access to hygiene products. In addition, hotels can donate all excess amenities from its previous supplier to this program.
