Toronto goes slightly hare-brained and crazy for ten days in September with the Just for Laughs #JFL42 Festival! If you claim to be a fan of stand-up, this event is tailored for you. 42 acts of all types of humor, from the witty Wanda Sykes to the dilated-pupil humor of Doug Benson. Amy Schumer, Seth Myers, Lena Dunham, Joe Rogan, Nick Offerman, Brody Stevens, Cameron Esposito, Johnny Pemberton, and even more artists will be there as well, serving up their own blends of comedy. Some of Toronto's best improv groups will be there, too, like Mantown and Second City Toronto.
Here's how it works: from September 18th to the 27th, 42 acts will hold it down in Toronto. Using your smartphone, purchase your JFL42 pass and select one of the curated seven headliners. You'll get credits toward reserving a seat to any of the other 42 artists. Then, start building your personal itinerary. How many shows can you see in ten days? Each check in during the festival gives you more credit, so make sure you let your friends know who you're seeing before you go, or who you saw after you leave the theater. There are three types of passes available for purchase: check out www.jfl42.com/choose-your-pass. It's a choose-your-own-adventure of festivals. Who knows, come September 27th, you might not have any laughs left in you.
