World Pride 2014 in Toronto

Celebrate Pride Toronto with the InterContinental Toronto Yorkville.  Home to one of the largest LGBTQ communities in the world, Toronto will host its annual Pride Festival, June 20 – 29, with ten amazing days of parades, parties, music and events. The city's historic Gay Village is transformed into a festive pedestrian party zone of queer culture, art and lifestyles. Pride Toronto celebrates courage, diversity and hope for human rights and equality for all people and sexual identities.

This year will be even more exciting as Toronto hosts WorldPride 2014 for the first time in North America. WorldPride 2014 Toronto is destined to be one of the biggest international events of our generation. The parks, open spaces and streets of downtown will be a global gathering with gay-friendly lounges and restaurants hosting events, and bars open until 4 am.

Lesbian singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge will kick off the Toronto WorldPride at Nathan Phillips Square to open the 10-day celebration. The festival will also feature Pride Week, with music performances and cultural events, including the Streetfair in the Church-Wellesley Village, a marketplace with artists and local food vendors.

WorldPride's hottest dance party, AQUA will take over Yonge & Dundas Square with 22 water fountains and partygoers dancing to amazing international DJs. The festival ends on the weekend with the Dyke March on Saturday followed by the colorful Pride Parade on Sunday. Check out Fruit Loopz, a youth festival of arts, words and ideas, or bring your family to the kid-friendly zone in the park at Family Pride.

In celebration of World Pride 2014, InterContinental Toronto Yorkville offers the Pride Package with stylish accommodations and daily breakfast in Toronto's most fashionable neighbourhood.
